Leviticus 21: 20 says a priest that “… has a humped back, or is a dwarf, or has a defect in his eye, or has pimples or scabby skin, or has imperfect testicles…” may not offer sacrifices to God.
The standard for God’s holiness was never and would have never been achievable if Jesus had not died for our sins and sanctified us.
Hebrews 13:12 says that Jesus suffered outside the gate (that is publicly) to sanctify us. This means he made us holy and qualifies us to meet God’s unattainable Holiness through his blood without blemish that he shed for us on the cross of Calvary.IT’S WRONG FOR A BLIND PRIEST OR THE ONE WITH PIMPLES TO MINISTER TO GOD.
What would have happened today if Jesus had not come and nailed all the requirementS of the law to the cross?YOU LOVE JESUS? LISTEN TO THIS WORSHIP
Colossians 2:13-15 says “You were dead in sins, and your sinful desires were not yet cut away. Then he gave you a share in the very life of Christ, for he forgave all your sins, 14 and blotted out the charges proved against you, the list of his commandments which you had not obeyed. He took this list of sins and destroyed it by nailing it to Christ’s cross. In this way God took away Satan’s power to accuse you of sin, and God openly displayed to the whole world Christ’s triumph at the cross where your sins were all taken away”.
The law against anyone with a defect is more elaborate according to Leviticus 21:16-23. The law forbids from generation to generation that any priest who has any bodily defect may not offer the sacrifices to God. A man that is blind or lame, or has a broken nose or any extra fingers or toes must not minister to God.
If these laws were operational in our time, imagine the number of people that will be excluded from being used as servants of God. Even if the person has a broken foot or hand, he would not have been qualified as a servant of God.
We can only say THANK YOU JESUS for making us righteous and Holy through your righteousness.
1 Corinthians 1:30 says: “For it is from God alone that you have your life through Christ Jesus. He showed us God’s plan of salvation; he was the one who made us acceptable to God; he made us pure and holy and gave himself to purchase our salvation”.
